Profile
- Nigel Fallon
Nigel Fallon was educated at Epsom College and gained a
B.Sc.(Hons) in Pure Science from Aberdeen University. After
a short spell in the Royal Navy in 1981, he left to begin
his career in the agri-business industry as he was unable
to complete his flying training for medical reasons.
Employed as a feed salesman, he quickly worked his way
upwards. After several years in management he was selected
for General Management training by the Dalgety Agriculture
Ltd conglomerate. This gave him the opportunity to return
to part-time education and he gained the Dip.M for the
Chartered Institute of Marketing in 1994 and his MBA degree
in 1996.
After nineteen successful years in the agri-business
industry, latterly as Feed and Technology Divisional
Manager for the ORKLA group of companies, Nigel felt he
possessed sufficient skills to run his own business. In
2001 he purchased the business of “Goostrey News” having
successfully re-located it into new premises from where it
has been to the present day. See
www.goostreynews.co.uk.
In order to begin his private tutoring work, Nigel gained
the Full Enhanced Disclosure (CRB) necessary to work with
young people in Feb 2004 (Disclosure No 001068760976) and
also registered as a tutor with the Protocol Professional
Agency for whom he undertakes assignments whenever
possible.
